Stewarton Winds win a fantastic PLATINUM AWARD for our performance at the National Concert Band Festival in the RSAMD on Sunday 7 November 2010.

 

 

In addition to complimenting the performance and playing of individual players, adjudicators Andrew Duncan and John Miller complimented the entire band for "good control, colour, style, dynamic contrast and excellent intonation" through our performance.

 

Our programme was:

 

• Folk Dances - Dmitri Shostakovich

 

• October - Eric Whitacre

 

• New York (from "East Coast Pictures) - Nigel Hess

 

Sunday's performance was our second appearance at the NCBF and we are delighted to add a Platinum Award to last years' Gold Award.
