GOLD AWARD

Stewarton Winds won a well earned GOLD AWARD at the National Concert Band Festival in the RSAMD on Sunday 8 November 2009.

Our Festival programme was:

• Concert Prelude - Philip Sparke

• A Quiet Moment - Philip Sparke

• The Royal Hunt of the Sun (Evocations) - Martin Ellerby

This was our first appearance on the Festival stage since forming in August 2009 and drew admirable remarks from adjudicators Bryan Allen & Russell Cowieson who complimented the band on it's sound, style and attention to dynamics & detail.
